We really believe that flowers have the power to spark creativity, capture a person’s essence, or create an atmosphere of celebration. Each installation is individualized to your specific occasion, and our focus is creating personal and meaningful touches that will make your event memorable.

Our Story

Carol and Terri met in the corporate world, where they became fast friends, and by happy circumstance, ended up as neighbours in Horseshoe Valley.

While she’s had an accomplished career in enterprise software, Carol has long had a passion for flowers. Her earliest memories are in Scotland, wandering the paths in her grandfather’s rose garden. Over the years, that love for flowers deepened into floral design, and she discovered her ability to create beauty and meaning at the same time.

Terri’s career in project management shifted when both of her children were diagnosed with a rare and terminal disease (@cureforclaire), and she stepped into a new life as a caregiver and advocate. This path has not been easy, but it has taught her to focus on the small things that make life beautiful, and to be present in memories as they’re created.

Navigating the loss of Claire has been a long journey, but it has given both Terri and Carol the perspective to move forward with Compass Rose, as they create experiences for family and friends to honour, connect, and celebrate life’s memories.
